Women Build is a department of Habitat for Humanity International that promotes the involvement of women in Habitat home construction. The first women-only "build" (Charlotte, North Carolina; 1991) garnered so much support and enthusiasm that word spread quickly and soon many other "women builds" followed. In 1998, Habitat for Humanity International officially created the Women Build Department.

Building decent, affordable housing for families in need is the single goal of Habitat for Humanity and Women Build. Reaching this lofty goal, however, depends on the generous support of individuals, corporations, and the community at large. Working together, pooling our resources, we can strengthen neighborhoods and families - one house at a time.
